The open wagons would have carried minerals extracted at the nearby mines of Glyn Ceriog. The brake van would have been used on either passenger or goods trains on the line. The V-Skip wagons are a more widespread type of vehicle common to many industrial lines. Their side-tipping feature allowed for great versatility when carrying and unloading.
